Within IMAGO SENSIBILIS / IMAGE MENTALE, Sumeth Pongchinrit’s Ten Years After and What..? unfolds as a fragmented cartography of contemporary perception. Composed of rapid A4 sketches arranged in a pyramidal structure and surrounded by dispersed A5 images resembling a constellation, the work reflects the unstable rhythm of memory, media, and urban experience.

Drawn upon magazine publicity paper, the images retain traces of consumer culture, public information, and everyday visual noise. Faces, anonymous figures, transportation scenes, rural fragments, and fleeting encounters appear as incomplete impressions—captured through spontaneous gestures and layered marks. Rather than constructing a singular narrative, the composition operates as an accumulation of mental residues, where personal recollection intersects with collective imagery.

At the level of Imago Sensibilis, the work immerses the viewer in a dense sensory field. The immediacy of sketch-like lines, the collision of color, text, and printed surfaces generate a dynamic visual experience that mirrors the accelerated flow of contemporary life. The eye moves continuously across the surface, navigating between intimacy and dispersion.

Transitioning toward Image Mentale, these scattered images gradually form a cognitive constellation. The pyramidal arrangement suggests an unstable architecture of memory—where fragments of lived experience, media circulation, and social observation become interconnected through perception. The work thus transforms everyday visual fragments into a reflective structure, inviting viewers to reconstruct meaning through their own associations and mental projections.

In this way, Ten Years After and What..? embodies the exhibition’s central proposition: the image not as fixed representation, but as an evolving process between sensation, memory, and thought.

Dans IMAGO SENSIBILIS / IMAGE MENTALE, Sumeth Pongchinrit propose, avec Ten Years After and What..?, une cartographie fragmentée de la perception contemporaine. Composée de croquis rapides au format A4 organisés en structure pyramidale et entourés d’images A5 dispersées comme une constellation, l’œuvre traduit le rythme instable de la mémoire, des médias et de l’expérience urbaine.

Réalisées sur des pages publicitaires de magazines, les images conservent les traces de la culture de consommation, de l’information visuelle et du bruit quotidien. Visages, figures anonymes, scènes de transport, fragments ruraux et rencontres fugitives apparaissent comme des impressions incomplètes, saisies à travers des gestes spontanés et des superpositions de signes. Plutôt que de construire un récit unique, la composition agit comme une accumulation de résidus mentaux où mémoire individuelle et imagerie collective se croisent.

Au niveau de l’Imago Sensibilis, l’œuvre plonge le regardeur dans un champ sensoriel dense. L’immédiateté du trait, les collisions entre couleur, texte et surfaces imprimées génèrent une expérience visuelle dynamique qui reflète l’accélération du monde contemporain. Le regard circule constamment à travers l’ensemble, oscillant entre proximité et dispersion.

Dans le passage vers l’Image Mentale, ces fragments dispersés se transforment progressivement en constellation cognitive. La structure pyramidale suggère une architecture instable de la mémoire, où expériences vécues, circulation médiatique et observation sociale se relient par la perception. L’œuvre transforme ainsi des fragments du quotidien en une structure réflexive, invitant chacun à reconstruire le sens à travers ses propres associations mentales.

Ten Years After and What..? incarne ainsi la proposition centrale de l’exposition : l’image non comme représentation fixe, mais comme processus en perpétuelle évolution entre sensation, mémoire et pensée.

ภายใต้แนวคิด IMAGO SENSIBILIS / IMAGE MENTALE Sumeth Pongchinrit ในผลงาน Ten Years After and What..? ได้นำเสนอแผนที่ของการรับรู้ร่วมสมัยที่แตกกระจายและไม่มั่นคง ผลงานประกอบด้วยภาพสเก็ตช์อย่างรวดเร็วขนาด A4 จัดเรียงเป็นรูปทรงพีระมิด และภาพขนาด A5 ที่กระจายตัวรอบ ๆ ราวกับกลุ่มดาว สะท้อนจังหวะอันผันผวนของความทรงจำ สื่อมวลชน และประสบการณ์ของชีวิตร่วมสมัย

ภาพทั้งหมดถูกสร้างบนกระดาษโฆษณาจากนิตยสาร ซึ่งยังคงหลงเหลือร่องรอยของวัฒนธรรมบริโภคนิยม ข้อมูลข่าวสาร และสัญญาณภาพจากชีวิตประจำวัน ใบหน้า ผู้คนไร้นาม ฉากการเดินทาง ภาพชนบท และช่วงเวลาชั่วคราวต่างปรากฏขึ้นเสมือนเศษเสี้ยวของความทรงจำที่ไม่สมบูรณ์ ผ่านเส้นที่รวดเร็วและการซ้อนทับของสัญลักษณ์ ผลงานมิได้สร้างเรื่องเล่าแบบตายตัว หากแต่ทำหน้าที่เป็นการสะสมของ “เศษซากทางจิต” ที่เชื่อมโยงความทรงจำส่วนบุคคลเข้ากับภาพร่วมของสังคม

ในระดับของ Imago Sensibilis ผู้ชมจะเผชิญกับสนามทางประสาทสัมผัสที่หนาแน่น ความฉับไวของเส้น สี ตัวอักษร และพื้นผิวสิ่งพิมพ์ก่อให้เกิดประสบการณ์ทางสายตาที่สะท้อนจังหวะอันเร่งเร้าของโลกปัจจุบัน สายตาของผู้ชมเคลื่อนไหวไปทั่วองค์ประกอบ ระหว่างความใกล้ชิดและความกระจัดกระจาย

เมื่อเคลื่อนไปสู่ Image Mentale ภาพที่แตกกระจายเหล่านี้ค่อย ๆ ก่อรูปเป็น “กลุ่มดาวทางความคิด” โครงสร้างแบบพีระมิดเปรียบเสมือนสถาปัตยกรรมของความทรงจำที่ไม่มั่นคง ซึ่งเชื่อมโยงประสบการณ์ชีวิต การไหลเวียนของสื่อ และการสังเกตสังคมเข้าด้วยกันผ่านกระบวนการรับรู้ ผลงานจึงเปลี่ยนเศษเสี้ยวของภาพในชีวิตประจำวันให้กลายเป็นพื้นที่แห่งการไตร่ตรอง เปิดโอกาสให้ผู้ชมสร้างความหมายขึ้นใหม่ผ่านการเชื่อมโยงทางจิตของตนเอง
