Two photographic moments occupy the same surface.

Through superimposition, the architecture of Ayutthaya is fragmented and reconstructed: walls, pathways, vegetation and the monumental form of the ruin pass through one another without completely disappearing.

The photograph no longer describes a single place at a single moment. Instead, different perceptions coexist within the image, producing a space suspended between what is present and what has already become memory.

Like a palimpsest, one image remains visible beneath another. The ruin is therefore not only the subject of the photograph; the photograph itself becomes a kind of ruin — layered, interrupted and marked by traces of time.

Palimpsest of Ruins explores photography as a place where architecture, memory and perception can occupy several moments at once.
