Within IMAGO SENSIBILIS / IMAGE MENTALE, Saranwat Sirinam’s The Spark of Excitement operates as a passage between sensation and cognition. Constructed through bleached denim, stitched fragments, and circular formations, the work embodies a visceral intensity—where material itself becomes the first site of perception.

At the level of Imago Sensibilis, the viewer encounters a raw sensory field: the coarse tactility of denim, the abrasiveness of chemical bleaching, and the dynamic movement of threads evoke emotional states ranging from excitation to fragmentation. The circular motif, suggestive of a “Twin Flame,” pulses with energy, oscillating between attraction and dissolution.

Transitioning toward Image Mentale, the work extends beyond affect into reflection. The image becomes a conceptual device—inviting contemplation on cycles of desire, belief systems, and inner consciousness. What begins as intensity gradually transforms into awareness, guiding the viewer toward a state of stillness embedded within the flux.

Thus, the work enacts the exhibition’s central trajectory: from sensation to understanding, from the immediacy of feeling to the clarity of thought—where the image is not fixed, but unfolds as a process of becoming.

Dans IMAGO SENSIBILIS / IMAGE MENTALE, Saranwat Sirinam propose, avec The Spark of Excitement, un passage entre sensation et cognition. Composée de denim blanchi, de fragments cousus et de formes circulaires, l’œuvre incarne une intensité sensorielle où la matière devient le premier lieu de perception.

Au niveau de l’Imago Sensibilis, le regardeur est confronté à un champ brut : la texture rugueuse du denim, la violence du blanchiment chimique et le mouvement des fils traduisent des états émotionnels allant de l’excitation à la fragmentation. Le motif circulaire, évoquant une « flamme jumelle », vibre d’une énergie oscillant entre attraction et dissolution.

Dans le passage vers l’Image Mentale, l’œuvre dépasse l’émotion pour devenir un dispositif réflexif. L’image agit comme un outil conceptuel invitant à interroger les cycles du désir, les systèmes de croyance et les mécanismes de la conscience. L’intensité initiale se transforme progressivement en prise de conscience, guidant vers une forme de calme intérieur.
